PRINCESS ANNE - Blanche Elizabeth Cooper died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at her home. Born in Chester, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Charles Hofmann III and Blanche Elizabeth Bethard Hofmann Harrington. She worked in the painting and glass Industry from the age of 17, for Pittsburgh Paint & Glass and Shinn's, retiring in 2002 after 50 years. She was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury for over 60 years, having taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and coached and played Women's Basketball. She is survived by her two children, Donna C. Benton of Bethany Beach and David J. Cooper Sr. of Salisbury; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia H. Layton of Salisbury and Marcia H. Davis of Hurlock; and a brother, Elton "Buddy" W. Harrington Jr. of Salisbury. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald John Cooper; a granddaughter; and a sister, Marjorie Anne Phoebus. A memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
