Blanchard H. Mills

MILFORD - Blanchard H. Mills passed away on Wed., Mar. 13, 2013 at Milford Memorial Hospital. Born in Portland, Maine, he was the son of the late Blanchard and Helen Mills. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving on the U.S.S. Barry, which was the gunfire support for the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Enterprise. After his service, he worked at Altantic Litho as a pressman for many years. Blanchard was a member of the Tin Can Sailors. He enjoyed cruising classic cars, attending car shows, studying history and watching TV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Carlino in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janice Mills; one daughter, Laura Mills of Milford; two grandchildren, Alannah and Ryan Carlino of Bear; and a brother, Donald Durost of Rehoboth Beach. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Melanoma Research Foundation, P.O.
