Biggs’ Matulewicz to speak at Milford's 2nd Friday

MILFORD — October’s 2nd Friday program will be held Oct. 8 at the First Presbyterian Church of Milford in the fellowship hall at 7 p.m. The program will also be available online as a Zoom meeting.

Guest speaker, Kristen Matulewicz, will present the program, “Get to Know the Biggs Museum,” and will include an overview of the museum and its history, upcoming exhibitions as well as a deep dive into several of the museum’s most popular pieces.

Ms. Matulewicz is the curator of community and academic programs at the museum. She joined the Biggs team two years ago, bringing with her nearly eight years of museum education experience at a variety of museum types including science and history museums.

She also is a former university teaching assistant and academic tutor for students with learning disabilities as well as teaching artists. She received her BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Art History from Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida and her MA in Art History and Visual Studies from the University of Victoria, in Victoria, BC, Canada.

2nd Friday is a community service hosted by the First Presbyterian Church of Milford. The programs are always free and family friendly. To receive an emailed Zoom invitation, send an email request to 2ndFriday.Milford@gmail.com. Invitations will be emailed the day of the event.
