CAMBRIDGE - Betty Lee Hurley, age 84, of Cambridge, died Sunday evening, July 24, 2011, after feeling ill at her brother's house and was pronounced dead at Dorchester General Hospital. Born on April 8, 1927. in Wingate, Dorchester County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Force Jones and Norma Mae Bramble Jones. On Dec. 22, 1956, she married Allen Glenwood Hurley. He died on April 15, 1989. For several years, she operated day care from her home. Surviving is her brother, Donald O. Jones, Sr. of Vienna; one daughter; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, besides her parents and husband, was a daughter, and three brothers, Wilson, Brady and Tom Jones. Graveside services were 11 a.m., Thursday, July 28, at Dorchester Memorial Park. Officiating at the service was The Rev. Pardee Bramble.
