LAUREL - Betty L. Chandler, age 87, of Laurel, died on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. Betty Worked for the Laurel High School Cafeteria, Edgehill Pharmacy, and Springcrest Drapes. She was a member St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Laurel for many years, she was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Shop in Laurel and was active in the Host Program at Laurel School. Betty loved to crochet doilies and lap robes which she gave away to family and friends. She also loved gardening. Her husband John L. Chandler Sr died in 2005. Betty is survived by two daughters, Patty Farrell and her husband Clifford, Kaye Cooper; two sons, John L. Chandler Jr. and his wife, Pat and William Chandler and his wife Debbie; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laurel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 32827 Old Stage Rd, Laurel, DE 19956.
