Betty Jo Beebe-Schauber

Beebe-Schauber, 59 CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Betty Jo Beebe-Schauber, died Sept. 16, 2012 in Hospice of Milford, Del. Betty Jo was born on March 3, 1953 in Milford, daughter of the late James and Mary Kemp Beebe. She had lived in Essex, Md. before returning to Delaware in 1980. In 1989, she married and moved to Chestertown. Betty Jo had worked in the cafeteria at Queen Anne's County High School and Sudlersville Elementary School for Sodexo. Betty Jo proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. She loved going to the beach, watching her hummingbirds, playing bingo and enjoyed computer games. She enjoyed having a house full of laughter, fun and enough happy memories to last forever. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Dennis M. Schauber in May 2012. Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Dawn Smith and her husband Greg of Chestertown; two sisters, Faye Andrew and her husband Andy of Frederica, and Joyce Miller and her husband Dickie of Milford; four grandchildren, Heather Anne McVey and her husband Kenneth, Caitlyn Mae Smith, Miranda Atherholt and Asher Grubb; and several other adopted grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial in Crumpton Cemetery. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com.
