BROGUE, Pa. - Betty Jane Bennett, 72, formerly of Parkton and Crisfield, Md., died April 18, 2008.
She was the wife of the late Lester C. "Dick" Miller, the late Jacob Mays, Jr., and the late David G. Bennett, Sr.; the companion of the late Donald M. Windsor, Sr.; the mother of Karen "Susie" Shaffer and her companion William E. Dennis of Brogue, Pa.; the grandmother of Robyn S. Stern and her husband Marc of Crisfield, Md., Jason C. Shaffer and his wife Jessica of York, Pa., and Julie V. Dize of Brogue, Pa.; and the great grandmother of Alexis M. Lewark and Caitlynn A. Shaffer. She was preceded in death by a brother, S. Bernard Heath.
Betty Jane was born on September 10, 1935 in Abington, Va. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Taylor and Hattie Mae (Pierce) Heath. Betty Jane enjoyed shopping, decorating, and spending time with her family and friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday at the J. J. Hartenstein Mortuary. Interment was in Wiseburg Cemetery, White Hall, Md.
Arrangements were handled by J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc.
