SEAFORD - Bessie Anna Jones passed away Wed., July 31, 2013 at Genesis Eldercare. Born in Ellendale, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Shockley and Wilber Coverdale. She was a seamstress before she retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Haines Jones, in 2001. She is survived by a son, Donald L. Johnson of Lincoln, Del.; a daughter, Dottie L. Dukes and her husband Dale, of Laurel, Del.; a stepdaughter, Jean A. Stant of Seaford, Del.; six grandchildren; and eight great grand children. Funeral services will be held on Sun., Aug. 4, 2013 at Watson - Yates Funeral Home, Front & King Sts., Seaford, DE at 2 p.m.. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
