Bernice Hoddinott Mays, 91
ROCKHALL, Md. - Beatrice Hoddinott Mays, formerly of both Baltimore and Rockhall, passed away at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Monday, March 19, 2007. She was 91.
She graduated from Harrington High School, Harrington in 1932 and went on to become a graduate of the University Of Maryland School Of Nursing in 1935.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard B. Mays.
She is survived by her adoring children and grandchildren, Howard Mays Jr., Joy Mays, Sally Mays Kutzer, Dennis Kutzer, Megan Mays Kutzer, Michael Mays Kutzer, and Ellen Mays Kutzer.
A memorial service will be held on March 31 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 7579 Sandy Bottom Road, Chestertown, Md., beginning at 11 a.m.
Instead of flowers, contribute to the Dr. and Mrs. Howard B. Mays Lectureship in the History and Ethics of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Office of Development, 100 N. Greene St., Suite 600, Baltimore, MD 21201, Attn: Mays Lectureship.
