SALISBURY - Bennett Lee Todd, 86, of Salisbury ended his earthly journey on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. He was born in Toddville to the late Charles and Ada Todd. He served the United States Military, the Naval Reserve until January 1943 and the Army until December 1944. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He continued his support of his country as a member of the American Legion. His greatest joy besides his family was being a long-haul tractor trailer driver. He received many awards, such as Safety Honors, during his long standing career. His love for his family never waned even at his end. Left to honor his memories are his devout wife of 65 years, Vivian Todd; a son, David L. Todd and wife Christina; his daughter, Deborah C. Ditolvo and husband, Richard. He also graces the hearts of eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren; also left to miss him are numerous great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Carolyn Jones of Toddvile. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He is also preceded in death by a much missed daughter, Florence Stickel. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street, Salisbury. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery, Eastern Shore in Hurlock. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made in memory of Bennett to Coastal Hospice, P.O.
