WILMINGTON - Barbara L. Kelley, age 78, of Wilmington, formerly of Ogletown, passed away on March 13, 2012. Born in St. Louis and raised in Cincinnati, Barbara was very proud to have served in the Air Force from 1958 - 1960, leaving with the rank of 2nd Lt. She earned academic degrees from the University of Cincinnati, University of Delaware (MBA), and a degree in Architectural Engineering from Del Tech Community College. She worked at the U of D (Labor Relations - Food Service Dept.), later at ILC Dover (Human Resources) and finally as an Architectural Drafter. She was also a big fan of the Mummers String Bands, New Orleans Jazz, and John Philip Sousa on July 4th. Barbara is survived by her son, Mark Cameron of Atlanta; daughter, Kelley Cameron Husted of Wilmington; son-in-law, John Husted; and two granddaughters, Kathryn and Rachel Husted. A memorial service will be noon, Friday, March 23, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to either Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Dr, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713; or Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Rd, Wilmington, DE 19810.
