Caesar Rodney High soccer player Elle Davis was voted this week’s State News Athlete of the Week. The senior netted six goals in the Riders’ 7-0 win over Polytech to give her 11 goals and a pair of assists in CR’s last three games.
A two-time All-Stater, Davis already has a career-high 17 goals and six assists this season. That gives her 34 goals and 23 assists for her career. Davis plans to continue her playing career at Thomas Jefferson University.
“Elle is the model student-athlete as she excels in the classroom and the pitch,” said CR coach Dwayne Lavender. “She has played a variety of positions and does well anywhere in the pitch, running the team through the CM in her senior season. I’ve feel blessed to have Elle as a member of my CR girls’ soccer program.”
