SMYRNA - Arthur W. Whaley, Jr. passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Pinnacle Nursing Home. He was 73. Mr. Whaley was born Jan. 17, 1941 in Chester, Pa. to the late Arthur W. Whaley, Sr. and Ann Falesco Whaley. He had worked for Johnson Control, formerly Globe Union Battery, for 20 years. Mr. Whaley spent most of his life in Smyrna. He was a longtime member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, and was a corvette and sports car enthusiast. Mr. Whaley is survived by his sister, Joan Ferguson of Smyrna; nephews, David Turek of Wilmington and Dwayne Turek of Clayton; and great-niece, Adara Turek Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Ewell St. Paul United Methodist Church, 401 West Street, Clayton, DE 19938. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
