HARRINGTON - Khaliell Pitts, 22, of Felton, was arrested as a fugitive Wednesday, along with others after firearms and drugs were found during the contact, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.
Police said Mr. Pitts was located in the area of Clark Street and Ward at approximately 3:55 p.m. and was taken into custody without incident.
Mr. Pitts was accompanied other men, police said. Marc Johnson, 23, of Milford was found with a loaded H&R handgun, police said. Authorities said Tyler Ellingsworth-Conde, 21, of Viola, was found with approximately 123.94 grams of marijuana.
Mr. Pitts was charged with illegal gang participation, second-degree conspiracy, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana. He was issued a $6,001 secured bond and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution.
Marc Johnson was charged with possession of a firearm by person prohibited, possession of a firearm while possessing a controlled substance, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, illegal gang participation, second-degree conspiracy, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana. He was issued a $43,000 cash bond and committed to SCI.
Mr. Ellingsworth-Conde was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, illegal gang participation, second-degree conspiracy, and resisting arrest. He was released on his own recognizance.
Jackie Mitchell, 24, of Dover, and Laquan Johnson, 24, of Wilmington, were charged with illegal gang participation, and second-degree conspiracy. They were each issued a $15,000 cash bond and committed to SCI.
