DOVER — A 23-year-old Dover man was arrested in Georgia Friday in connection with a Sept. 5 shooting in Simon Circle, Dover police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid.
Syncere Friends, who police said was wanted on an arrest warrant, was located in Atlanta and taken into custody without incident by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force.
Police said Mr. Friends was sought for a shooting that injured a 19-year-old Dover woman.
Cpl. Schmid said pending charges include first-degree assault, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, reckless endangering, and violation of probation. Mr. Friends will be formally charged once extradited to Delaware, Cpl. Schmid said.
