SEAFORD - Ronnie Rust, 49, of Seaford, was arrested for theft and trespass following an investigation into construction materials stolen on Thursday afternoon, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.
According to authorities, investigation found that numerous sheets of plywood had been stolen from a residence under construction in the 7000 block of Gum Branch Road. Troopers were called to the scene at approximately 3:10 p.m.
Police said Mr. Rust was taken into custody without incident on Friday at the Relax Inn in Laurel. Police said the stolen lumber was later located and recovered from a residence in Seaford.
Mr. Rust charged with theft over $1,500 felony, and third-degree criminal trespass. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
