DOVER — Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long announced the creation of the Prevention and Recovery Support Services Fund in September to reduce overdose deaths across Delaware by addressing barriers to sustained recovery such as transportation, housing and workforce capacity.
The deadline for applications has been extended. Organizations, including service providers and community organizations, may submit funding applications up until Friday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. The application can be accessed here.
Funding may be used to eliminate the barriers Delawareans experiencing, or at-risk for developing substance use disorder face when accessing support services. As the rise in drug overdose deaths has disproportionately impacted Black and Brown communities and people living in rural areas, projects addressing service needs in impacted communities will be prioritized.
The fund leverages funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.
