Peterson scored 16 points and Tre White led the Jayhawks with 19. It was the kind of performance that college basketball fans are accustomed to seeing from coach Bill Self’s Jayhawks over the years.

Spoelstra, who has led the Miami Heat since 2008, expressed disappointment about the news. He became the NBA’s longest-tenured coach after Gregg Popovich retired last year. US--SUPREME COURT-TRANSGENDER ATHLETES
Supreme Court seems likely to uphold state bans on transgender athletes in girls and women’s sports
SUMMARY: The Supreme Court seems likely to uphold state laws barring transgender girls and women from playing on school athletic teams. Lower courts ruled for the transgender athletes in Idaho and West Virginia who challenged the state bans. But the conservative-dominated Supreme Court gave no indication after more than three hours of arguments Tuesday that it would follow suit. Instead, at least five of the six conservatives on the nine-member court indicated they’ll rule the laws don’t violate either the Constitution or the landmark Title IX law. Title IX prohibits discrimination in education and has produced dramatic growth in girls and women’s sports.

Mike Tomlin steps down after 19 seasons as coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers
SUMMARY: The Mike Tomlin era with the Pittsburgh Steelers is over. The longest-tenured head coach in major American professional sports stepped down Tuesday after yet another quick playoff exit. The announcement came a day after the end of Tomlin’s 19th season in Pittsburgh. Eagles move on from OC Kevin Patullo after one lackluster season with him calling plays
SUMMARY: The Philadelphia Eagles are moving on from offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. Coach Nick Sirianni says he’s going in a different direction after one year with Patullo calling plays. The Eagles (11-7) lost OC Kellen Moore after winning the Super Bowl in 2025 and turned to Patullo to maintain familiarity and continuity for quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley and receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Patullo had been the Eagles’ passing game coordinator since 2021. But the in-house move failed to pan out. Philadelphia finished 24th in total offense at 311.2 yards a game and 19th in scoring at 22.3 points a game.

‘Fragile’ Rangers are looking for answers to turn their season around
SUMMARY: The New York Rangers are searching for answers past the midway point of a season that is rapidly slipping away.
