FBN--TITANS-WARD

Titans QB Cam Ward leaves season finale at Jaguars with right shoulder injury

SUMMARY: Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward left the team’s season finale at Jacksonville after landing on his right shoulder during a touchdown run. Ward was slow to get up following linebacker Foye Oluokun’s tackle that drove him into the ground and ended up getting checked out in the team’s medical tent. But he left there and walked into a nearby tunnel opposite the team’s locker room, presumably to get taken to the onsite X-ray machine at Everbank Stadium. Journeyman backup Brandon Allen, a sixth-round draft pick by Jacksonville in 2016, replaced Ward on the next possession. It was the first snaps Ward has missed this season.

SOC--ENGLISH ROUNDUP

Liverpool stunned by late Reed goal in 2-2 draw with Fulham and Cunha rescues Man United

SUMMARY: Harrison Reed has scored a spectacular goal in stoppage time to earn Fulham a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League. The substitute let fly from around 25 meters (yards) to beat Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson in the seventh minute of time added on at Craven Cottage on Sunday. Liverpool fans were still celebrating after Cody Gakpo had scored what looked like a late winner in the 94th. But they were left stunned by Reed’s near instant response once play resumed. Fulham led 1-0 at halftime through Harry Wilson, who burst through and fired low into the far corner. Florian Wirtz leveled in the 57th. Matheus Cunha rescued a point for Manchester United in a 1-1 draw at Leeds.

How A.J. Dybantsa’s resilience led No. 10 BYU to a Big 12-opening win over Kansas State

SUMMARY: A.J. Dybantsa led No. 10 BYU to an 83-73 victory over Kansas State in his Big 12 debut on Saturday. Despite facing tough defense and committing seven turnovers, Dybantsa scored 24 points in the Cougars’ first true road game of the season. The freshman, a potential top NBA draft pick, was frustrated at times, but he also showed why he is such a coveted prospect. The Cougars have won 10 straight games since their only loss in November. Swiss skier Rast ends Shiffrin’s six-race winning streak in World Cup slaloms with Olympics looming

SUMMARY: Swiss skier Camille Rast has ended Mikaela Shiffrin’s six-race winning streak in World Cup slaloms. She beat the American star at a race in Slovenia as their duel shapes up nicely for the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Rast led Shiffrin by one-tenth of a second after the opening run and extended her advantage to 0.14 in the final run for her fourth career win. Rast also led Shiffrin last week in Austria after the first leg but the American made up more than half a second on a deteriorating course to narrowly take the win. Rast also won a giant slalom on the same hill the day before.
