Anna Townsend

SALISBURY - Anna Mae Townsend died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Hattie Renshaw Abbott. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, was an excellent cook and made many friends at the Village at Harbor Pointe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Townsend in 1986; two brothers, Wilton and Robert Abbott; sister, Margaret Bailey. She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Townsend, Brenda Young and Tammy Cropper; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. At her request, a private family service will be held in Shad Point Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
