FELTON - Angela Stevens Hill, lost her courageous 12 year battle with cancer on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Milford Memorial Hospital. Angela, a lover of wine and cats, was born Nov. 15, 1955 in Wilmington, Del. She was one of six children born to Burton Stevens and the late Bernice Kula Stevens. Angela was well traveled; with 49 states and 4 Canadian Provinces under her belt, she instilled the "travel bug" in her family. She was a dedicated and hard worker of 10 years at the Milford Wal-Mart. She touched many people's lives with her smile and caring nature. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Kula Stevens. Angela is survived by her loving husband, James Hill of 37 years; her daughter, Amanda Hill of Martinsburg, W.V.; her father, Burton Stevens of Dover; two sisters, Lois Spence and Carol Newell; three brothers, Burton David Stevens, Patrick Stevens, and Mark Stevens; and her two beloved cats, Kitten and Harriet. Family will receive friends Monday Oct. 8, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolence may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
