GREENWOOD - Andrew B. Warren, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 19, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Andrew, affectionately known as "Andy" fought a courageous two year battle against brain cancer living each day to the fullest and enjoying every minute spent with his family. Andy was born on March 22, 1979, in Milford, Del. and raised in Greenwood. Andy was a 1997 graduate of Woodbridge High School before attending Elon College in North Carolina. Following school Andy worked at various businesses around the area but finally found his calling when he joined the team at the family business, A & B Electric, where he worked alongside with his father who was so proud. In his free time, Andy kept the landscaping meticulous at his house; you could never find a weed in any flower bed unless you planted it there. He always had an experiment or project going on; some came out tremendous like his beautiful design work in his kitchen, others not so good like the last time he tried cooking a new dinner creation. He enjoyed many things, from playing in the Softball League in Seaford, golfing, going to the beach, or cheering on his victorious Redskins. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his daughter who was the apple of his eye. He loved taking her to the pool, pushing her on the swing set, or lifting her way up high above his head as she laughed and smiled looking down at him with that sparkle in her eyes. Andy was not only a great story teller, but a great listener; his outgoing personality made him an instant friend with anyone he came in contact with. Though Andy leaves his family and friends behind, they all know without a doubt, his legacy and love will live on forever as they continue to honor his life each and every day. Andy is survived by the love of his life, his wife of seven years, Jessica; his two year old daughter, London; his parents, Alan and Brenda (Thomas) Warren of Greenwood; his mother and father-in-law, Lynn and Frank Umstetter of Greenwood; his sister-in-law, April Bergeron of Greenwood; and his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A Celebration of Andy's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE., where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
