'Buster' Brooks, 97, CAMBRIDGE - Andreas Arnold "Buster" Brooks, passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in Woolford on May 8, 1915 to the late Rev. Charles Wesley and Freida Schulze Brooks. Mr. Brooks attended Milton School in Woolford and also Peachblossom Elementary School in Cambridge. He served in the Pacific during World War II in the United States Navy. He married Marjorie Vivian Bramble on September 30, 1939, who passed away on December 27, 1998. He was a master carpenter for over 50 years. He enjoyed gardening, crabbing, meeting new people and most of all he loved his family. He was a member of Cambridge Wesleyan Church. He is survived by three daughters, Vivian Carole Spoon and husband Tom of Coudersport, Pa., Doris L. Era and her late husband Wayne of East New Market, Karen L. Bell and husband Jerry of Seaford, Del.; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Marjorie Vivian Brooks; one son, Arnold A. Brooks; two brothers, Paul Wilmer Brooks, Carlton Wesley Brooks; and a sister Freida McCollister. Pallbearers were Thomas Spoon, Daniel Coll, Frederick Coll, Ryan Zeinog, Jerry Bell and Andrew Bell. A funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at noon at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, with Rev. Charles Wesley Brooks officiating. Family were receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment followed at Old Trinity Churchyard. Arrangements were in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A in Cambridge.
