MILFORD - Alton J. Webb, Sr. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side.
Alton was born in Bridgeville, Del. on Sept. 30, 1924 to the late Frederick P. and Mary F. (O'Day) Webb. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He owned and operated Webb Trucking, was a truck driver for Burris Foods for many years, and later drove buses for Mills and KSI. He was a life member of the Milford Elks Lodge, a member of Harrington Moose and Milford V.F.W., the Historic Vintage Antique Car Club of Delaware. He was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, trap shooting and bird hunting. He loved telling jokes and was a prankster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years of whom he adored, Lenora (Wilson) Webb; and a brother, Edward Webb.
He is survived by his three children, Joyce Ann Kenton and her husband, Duane "Scutch" Kenton of Lincoln, Alton "Bud" Webb, Jr. and wife Juanita of Milford, and Brenda Sizemore and her husband Dave of Milford; 10 grandchildren, Duane Kenton, Crystal Lynch, Randy Kenton, Frederick Kenton, Yvonne Lynch, Darlene Neibert, Kimberly Webb, Karin Ennis, Wesley Sizemore and Rochelle Sizemore; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and his little buddy, Timmy his Chihuahua.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
