Felton - Alta Elizabeth Campbell died Thursday Dec. 18, 2014 surrounded by her family at the Delaware Hospice in Milford. Born on Dec. 2, 1936 in Centreville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Estella Coppage Stowman. Alta grew up in Centreville she married Donald Carter and would have six children. She was a homemaker when she resided in Worton, Md. She then moved to Delaware where she worked for Playtex in Delaware for 30+ years. Alta enjoyed spending time with her family, ceramics and her pets. She is survived by her children, Deborah Allen, David Carter, Kenneth Carter, Diana Hackett and Linda Carter. Two sisters, Virginia Bakker and Barbara Starkey. Three grandchildren, Melissa Lewis, Leo Dustin Hackett and Kyle Hackett and 11 grandchildren. A daughter, Beverly Ann Carter and brother, Buddy Stowman both predeceased her. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday Dec. 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home in Centreville, Md. Where family and friends may visit an hour before at noon.
