Alma Meyer, 94

SEAFORD - Alma Meyer, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., died Thursday, October 1, 2009, in the Methodist Manor House. Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Emilie Diehl and Frank Bernard Meyer, she was a legal secretary for the law firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in Philadelphia, retiring in 1979 after 30 years. Miss Meyer was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School and the Taylor Business School in Philadelphia, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lansdown, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, David Meyer, and sister, Miriam Partridge. She is survived by two nephews and a niece. Services and burial will be private. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Benidictine School Foundation, 1429 Benidictine Lane, Ridgely, Md., 21160. Arrangements by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford, Delaware.
