Moore, Sr. and Leah Moore. Alfred worked as a telecommunications manager, beginning with the Diamond State Phone Company; which eventually transitioned into Verizon. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, gardening, doing home repairs and fixing things, playing cards, and later in life he took comfort playing the slot machines. He was also a member of the Mason, the Moose Lodge, and was a Shriner. Alfred is predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Jeanette Moore, and his brother, Charles Moore. He is survived by their three children, Sharon M. Forbes and her husband, Robert, of Middletown, Gregory D. Moore of Winter Haven, Fla., and Karen J. Howard of Smyrna. He is also deeply missed by his sister-in-law, Betty Laramore of Wilmington; brother-in-law, Bradford Smith of Wyoming; as well as three grandchildren, Jason Charles Forbes, and his wife, Renee, of Bear, Sarah Schrader, and her husband, Blaine, of Smyrna, and Trevor Moore of Newark; and one great-granddaughter, Riley Schrader. Services will be held privately. Letter of Condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
