NEWCOMB - Albert B. Allen, 69, died at his home on Monday, Oct. 30, 2006.
Born July 8, 1937, he was the son of the late John Theodore and Alva Crow Allen.
After attending public school in Talbot County, he worked on the family farm. He then took a position with Asplundh Tree Experts where be remained for 23 years and then worked on the water until 2004.
He loved to go out to dinner with his wife, spend time with his family, and collect John Deere tractor replicas.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, the former Peggy Price, whom he married Jan. 9, 1959; three children, Betty Plugge and her husband, Mark of Denton, Rodney Allen and his wife, Roxanne of Pennsylvania, and Dale Allen and his wife, Janelle of Easton; three brothers, Johnnie Allen of Chestertown, Frances Allen of Florida and William Allen of Delaware; two sisters, Mary Hurst and Kathleen Walker, both of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Amber, and Joshua Plugge, Amanda Allen, Jessica and Victor Passwaters, and soon to be Ashley Allen.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Allen and Paul Allen; and one sister, Hazel Timms.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Horne, P.A., Easton, where friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton.
