CAMDEN - Aida Hilda Royster, of Camden and Bethany Beach, Del. died Jan. 18, 2013. Born in San Juan, PR, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angela Santiago. Mrs. Royster had worked as a Registered Nurse at Kings Park Hospital, New York and later at Bethesda Hospital where she was an In Charge Nurse in Neonatal Care until her retirement in 1986. Upon her retirement from Nursing she had owned and operated a day care service until she and her late husband, Jack Royster, moved to Bethany Beach. Once in Bethany, she spent most of her time volunteering at the local VFW, and several different community charities. She was an active member of St. Ann's Catholic Church where she became extremely active with Catholic Charities. She had a passion for photography and took pictures of everyone except of herself. Mrs. Royster enjoyed traveling and often visited California, Georgia and New Jersey so as to be with her children. Her absence will surely be felt at her church, at the VFW, and her neighborhood Turtle Walks. Mrs. Royster leaves her dedicated children, Guy Winer and his wife Janelle, of Camden, Del., James Caliendo of N.J., Josephine Woods and husband Richard, of Jessup, Ga., and Kimberly Lytikainen and husband Carl of Palo Alto, Calif.; along with her 14 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Committal Services on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Chapel in Millsboro, Del. Life's End Services are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. Dover. Condolences may be forwarded and Guest Book signed via www.ambruso.com.
