MILFORD - Agnes V. "Aggie" Froland, of Milford, formerly of Sloatsburg N.Y., entered into rest on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 27, 1941, in the Bronx to Joseph and Yolanda Yaroszeufski. Agnes was a loving wife to John Froland Sr. who together celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in May of 2011. Agnes was a homemaker who devoted her time to her loving family. She was a life member of the Sloatsburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to John Froland Sr, her loving husband of 51 years, Agnes is survived by her daughters, Virginia Sochulak and husband Kenneth of Mahwah N.J., Elizabeth Donnelly and husband Matthew of Newburgh N.Y., and her sonm John Froland Jr. and his wife Debbie of Pine Bush, N.Y. She was known as "Grandma Honey" to granddaughters, Cindy, Christine and Jessica. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Agnes was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Yolanda and James Triassi; her father, Joseph Yaroszeufski; and her sister, Sally Caro. The family wishes to thank the staff at Orange/Sullivan Hospice, Sloan Kettering Hospital and Crystal Run Health Care, and all the loving, caring friends and family with their assistance during this difficult time. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday Sept. 26, at Engel Funeral Home, 5319 Route 9W, Newburgh, N.Y. A brief service took place at Cedar Hill Chapel at 11 a.m., Sept. 27, where cremation will take place. Burial of cremains will be private at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in Agnes' behalf to Sloatsburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary at PO Box 115 Sloatsburg, NY 10974; or Carlisle Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 131, Milford, DE 19963.
