Agnes Biddle Thompson, 80
MIDDLETOWN - Agnes Biddle Thompson, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, in her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was 80.
Born on March 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mollie Biddle.
Agnes retired from Justice of the Peace Court 9 in 1990 where she served as county clerk in Middletown for 23 years.
She also worked as a calendar secretary to the Senate in Legislative Hall, Dover.
Agnes was a member of Caesar Rodney Chapter 8, Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, William "Bill" Thompson; three daughters, Marilyn McGeoch of Middletown, Jacquelyn Spicer and her husband, the Rev. Jack Spicer of Middletown and Ramona Vinyard of Frederica; two sons, Larry Thompson of Middletown and Garry Thompson and his wife Betty of Townsend; four sisters, Edith Chas of Middletown, Peggy Alexander of Frederica, Thelma Stanley of Elkton, Md., and Marie Gonce of Middletown; one brother, Lester "Bucky" Biddle of Middletown; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where family and friends may call two hours prior to service.
Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn.
