DOVER - Adriene N. Thorpe, 52, of Dover, born on April 19, 1963, was called home to our Heavenly Father on September 5, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. She resided in Columbia, S.C. She was preceded in death by her father, Sonny Sorden. She received her education from Dover High School. After high school she enlisted in the Army and after an honorable discharge she graduated from Midland Technical College. She is survived by two sons, Michael and Aaron; one daughter, Ebony; mother, Janet; two sisters, Taunya (Tie), Clarissa; three brothers, Melvin, Tony, Desmond; special aunt, Carol; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Ashbury United Methodist Church, 200 Weiner Ave., Harrington, with a viewing one hour prior to service. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
