ANNAPOLIS — The Maryland Young Farmers Advisory Board is conducting a survey of Maryland Young Farmers. The survey aims to help the Maryland Department of Agriculture, Maryland Agricultural Commission, commodity groups and agri-businesses better understand how to better assist young farmers.

The survey should be completed by individuals 45 years old and younger who are affiliated with agriculture in Maryland. The online survey can be completed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MdYoungFarmer and will be available until January 4, 2015.

For more information about the Maryland Young Farmer Survey, contact Jessica Armacost at MDA at 443-883-0217 Jessica.Armacost@maryland.gov

The Young Farmers Advisory Board promotes agriculture as a positive contributor to Maryland’s economy, environment, and scenic landscape. Its recommendations to the Secretary are related to economic development, and legislative and policy issues that impact agricultural profitability throughout the state.
