EASTON - Williard M. "Tom" North Jr., 77, died on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at his home in Easton.
Born Sept. 11, 1930, in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Willard M. Sr., and Wilsie Shorter North. His lifelong career as a bricklayer was with Allen Tyler & Sons in Cambridge, until his retirement in 1992.
His wife, the former Ada Redman, whom he married May 22, 1958, died June 11, 2001.
Mr. North was a life member of BPO Easton Elks Lodge 1622 and in his spare time he enjoyed carving, woodworking and reading nautical books, especially about the Chesapeake Bay.
Mr. North is survived by two daughters, Renee North of Easton and Rochelle Haddaway of Preston; one brother, Neal North of Easton and two sisters, Lynne Russ and Sylvia North, both of Easton; three grandchildren, Jaime Ewing, Henry Noah Haddaway and Chris-North Brown; and one great-grandchild, Damien Ewing.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred North and a sister, Rose Strickland.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, PA in Easton where friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Easton.
