SALISBURY - William E. "Bill" Lewis died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Willards, he was the son of the late Roland C. Lewis and Jennie Edna Brittingham Lewis.
He worked many years as a self-employed truck driver, was proud to have excavated many golf courses, and loved running an excavator on many job sites most recently for the Wicomico County Landfill.
He is survived by his children, Michele Lewis and Billy Lewis; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Jean Johnson, Betty Davis, Shirley Warrington, Connie Lewis-Young and Peggy Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Lewis Cemetery in Willards. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
