MARION STATION - Walter Milton Insley died Monday, June 6, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Marion Station on Nov. 16, 1940, he was a son of the late Samuel M. and Nellie G. Slacum Insley. He worked maintenance at the former Carvel Hall Cutlery in Crisfield for 30 years, and also with Swift Farms for many years. He attended Marion Baptist Church, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Westover and the Crisfield Country Club. His pets were his chickens, turkeys, and peacocks and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and John Deere Tractors. He is survived by his sister, Myrtle Dorman, of Norfolk, Va.; his brother, Sammy Insley, Jr., and wife, Shirley, of Crisfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Insley; two sisters, Pauline Swift and Ruth Hancock; and a nephew. Funeral services were Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing was one hour prior. Interment was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
