SALISBURY - Walter Kendall Allen, II, 88, of Salisbury, died Friday, August 19, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late Fulton and Lois Allen. He graduated from University of Maryland's Glen L. Martin School of Engineering and worked as an electrical engineer at John's Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, National Institute of Health, Deamond Ordance Fuse Lab and Goddard Space Center. He was a Navy Aviation Veteran, serving during World War II. He is survived by his two sons, J. Ken Allen and David L. Allen, of Salisbury; four grandchildren; and several nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Allen; sisters, Dorothy Cornell Brittingham, Ruth Valesca Buck and Julia Elizabeth Hancock. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment will take place at a later date at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
