CAMBRIDGE - Vera I. Dole, 85, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Mallard Bay Care Center.

She was born in East Bethel, Vt., on Nov. 14, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Elmer and Florence Burditt Raymond.

Mrs. Dole was raised and attended school in Sharon, Vt. She attended Barre Radio School in Barre, Vt. She married Arthur Dole, who passed away in 1970. In the 1960s she and her husband moved to Cambridge.

She worked for 16 years at Airpax and had worked at Wendy"s since 1992.

She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by a brother, Robert Raymond of Sharon; four sisters, Verna Buckner of Peoria, Ill., Velma Williams of St. Petersburg, Fla., Marjorie Kennett of Windsor, Vt. and Shirley Dugas of Florida.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at Seventh-day Adventist Church with Elder James Brighton officiating. A visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
