PRINCESS ANNE — University of Maryland Extension at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore offers a small ruminant workshop in the Richard A. Henson Center, Room 1116, on Saturday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Dr. E. Nelson Escobar, along with several other presenters, will cover a broad range of topics during the course of the day.

The Use of Small Ruminants to Control Unwanted Vegetation is the focus for the small ruminant workshop, which is sponsored in part by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture.  Workshop participants can expect to learn about current market trends, invasive species on Delmarva, animal husbandry, the UMES small ruminant project and more.  In addition, a start-up manual will be provided.
