Thomas Lee "Tommy" Adams, 83
CRISFIELD - Thomas Lee "Tommy" Adams, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield on Sept. 8, 1923, he was a son of the late John T. and Lottie Green Adams.
He was a retired mechanic for Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield. Prior, he was a mechanic for many years with Tawes Brothers in Crisfield.
He was a very active and faithful member of the Crisfield Church of God. There, he taught Sunday School, was a former Sunday School superintendent, worked the sound system and was the director of the Golden Harvest Food Program for the needy.
He is survived by his wife of almost 66 years, Lois Parks Adams of Crisfield; his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and George Tull of Crisfield; two grandsons, Brent Tull and his wife Valerie of Marion Station and Greg Tull and his wife Kristal of Eden; one great granddaughter, Kayla Joi Tull of Eden, whom he adored; two step-great-grandchildren, Karen Abell and her husband Dale of Pocomoke City and John Earhart and his wife Nicole of Berlin; one sister, Grace Mae "Peggy" Riggin of Crisfield; one brother, David Adams of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin Adams.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Crisfield Church of God. The Revs Philip Morris, Jerry Hughes and Harvey Tyler officiated. Burial was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to Coastal Hospice at the Lake, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
Arrangements were in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
