SALISBURY — Shore Transit is offering free bus rides on all routes to those attending the Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance program Health Coverage kickoff event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the One Stop Job Market in Salisbury. The Tri-County Council is a co-sponsor.
Attendees will not be able to enroll into health coverage during the event but there will be exhibit booths featuring local community resources, health screenings and free snacks. Enrollment assistance is available by appointment with navigators of the Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program beginning Monday, Nov. 17. Individuals may enroll themselves online beginning Wednesday, Nov. 19. Open enrollment ends Feb. 15.
A computer lab will be open at the One Stop Job Market to view the new and improved MarylandHealthConnection.gov website and speak with certified staff about open enrollment. Presentations about Maryland Health Connection will be provided at the top of every hour throughout the event.
For those who enrolled last year, they will need to re-apply by Dec. 18 to continue receiving a discount on their health care coverage. The One Stop Job Market is located at 31901 Tri-County Way in Salisbury. For more information visit lowershorehealth.org or call the program call center at 855-445-5540.
