Susan Rayne Orem

SALISBURY - Susan Rayne Orem passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Cambridge on Dec. 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Richard Rayne, Sr. and Alma Dennis Rayne. Susan was a 1960 graduate of Wicomico High School and also attended Salisbury University. She was previously employed at C & P Decorating and most recently Nancy N. She was a former member of the Junior Auxiliary Board, Wicomico Yacht Club and the Cambridge Yacht Club. Susan was a caring person and enjoyed having fun with family and friends. She had a flair for fashion and was known for her excellent taste and decorating skills. She enjoyed traveling, boating, gardening and playing cards with her friends. Susan is survived by her husband of 25 years, David Bruce Orem; a son, Teddy Eschenburg of West Ocean City; two brothers, Richard Rayne, Jr. and his wife, Pat of Nacogdoches, Texas and Michael Rayne and his wife, Karen of Salisbury; a sister, Judy Oaks and her husband, Maurice of Doylestown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews, Richard Rayne III (Myriam), Kelley Spurrier, Leigh Cannon (Jim), Benjamin Rayne (Sarah), Johnathan Rayne and Kimberly Dommel (Philip). In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter in 2006, Tracie Eschenburg Mills. A memorial service was held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Holloway Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Ronald Soulsman will officiate.
