Stanley E. Shockley

SALISBURY - Stanley E. Shockley died Monday, April 25, 2016, at his home, surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Linwood and Elsie Shockley. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Shockley; children, Wanda Shockley Ballas, Brenda Shockley Shores, Donna Pickle, Cindy Shockley, Nadine Henchcliffe, Steven Bowden, William Bowden; two grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Linwood Shockley, Jr.; a son, Mark A. Bowden; and a grandson. He worked for many years as a sawyer at Somerset Lumber Co. and Koppers Lumber. After retiring from the lumber industry he worked in maintenance for the Merrit Atlantic Co. A funeral service was held Friday, April 29, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was in Manokin Cemetery in Princess Anne.
