WESTOVER — The Somerset County Board of Education has announced that all schools will   open for students on Monday August 24, 2015. The school day will begin at 7:25 a.m. for high school students; 7:30 a.m. for 6^th & 7^th Intermediate School while the elementary schools will begin classes at 8:40 a.m.   Adjustments may have to be made after the opening of school because of overloading, safety and efficiency. Pupils are urged to be at their bus stop EARLY on opening day, after which a definite schedule pattern will be established. The Board of Education has announced a walking distance of one mile for elementary pupils and one and one-half miles for senior high school pupils. Please note: Students in grades 1-5 residing in Crisfield Somers Cove Units # 201-280 will walk to and from school. All PK & K students will be provided transportation. All Intermediate School Students are eligible to be transported.     Pre-kindergarten children attending school in the morning will ride regular buses to school. The morning session will dismiss at 11:40 a.m. The afternoon Pre-kindergarten sessions will begin at 12:40 p.m. and students will return home on their regular afternoon buses.
