DELMAR - Shirley Walker Morris, 81, of Delmar, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at the Delmar Nursing Home. She was born in Sharptown and lived in Delmar with her husband of 62 years, Jack Morris Sr. She is survived by her children: Jack Morris of Delmar, Garry Morris of Delmar; and Becky Barb of Mathias, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn James of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Morris; brothers, Kenneth, Loran, and Charles; and a sister, Rebecca. She retired from the Holiday Inn as the Banquet Coordinator in 2000. She was a life member of the Delmar Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and recently received 45 years of service recognition. She was a member of Melson's United Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
