Sherman 'Sug' Willey, 65 SECRETARY - Sherman "Sug" Willey, 65, of Secretary, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge. Born June 30, 1944, in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Selvin Willey and Ethel Wroten Willey. In his youth, he loved to hunt raccoon and rabbits. Mr. Willey had worked as a waterman for thirty five years. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary. He is survived by his wife, Carol Annette Willey whom he married on May 28, 1965; a daughter, Patty Pritchett and her husband Jimmy of Linkwood; a grandson, Nicholas Pritchett; a brother, Paul Willey of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Minnie Insley of Crapo and Mary Duhamel of Dunellen, N.J.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Willey, Randall Willey, and Raymond Willey. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home where friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Rev. William J. Lawler will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery in Secretary. Charles Dayton, Jr., Richard Willis, Billy Lane, Timmy Willey, Dal Insley, and Dal Insley, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
