PRINCESS ANNE — A theatrical production based on the book Makepeace will be performed Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-23 at the St. Andrew’s Church Parish House on Washington Street.

“Sarah of Somerset” comes from the character in Jeanne du Nord’s historical narrative based on the lives of the Maryland’s earliest settlers. This love story of a teen-age girl which includes by Emma Limbeck as Sarah and five other local actors was written by retired teacher Jetta Jean Reynolds.

On Aug. 22 it will be a dinner theater-style presentation, with doors opening for drinks and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 and a four-course dinner following at 6. Curtain time for the play is at 7:30. The price for this is $35 and tickets are available at Somerset Choice Antiques or call 410-651-0757.

On Aug. 23 there will be a matinee performance at 2 p.m. with tickets $5 for adults, and $2 for students with ID or under 18.

During intermission on the opening night, two original tapestries by Ms. du Nord will be unveiled. “Angel with Topiary” and “Bird with Pomegranate” were stitched by the St. Andrew’s Needlework Guild.

The production benefits the Linden Hill Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that promotes arts and entertainment projects in Princess Anne.
