WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Sarah E. Pritchett, 89, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at Inova Hospital in Fairfax, Va.

She was born in St. Michaels on Feb. 20, 1917, and was a daughter of the late Edward Sparks and Edith Willey Straughn. 

Mrs. Pritchett graduated from St. Michaels High School. In January of 1966 she married John W. Pritchett who passed away in June of 1969. She worked at a travel agency for a while and then she was a homemaker. She was an avid bird watcher. 

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Seville of Woodbridge, Va. and Christine R. Seville Sherrer and husband, Rob of Mt. Aireys; four sons, Michael D. Seville and wife, Lynne of Cambridge, Calvin F. Seville and wife, Linda of Woodbridge, Va., John K. Seville of Titusville, Fla. and Stephen D. Seville of Baltimore; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Bell of Salisbury and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-grandson, two brothers and two sisters. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. Nathaniel Pierce officiating. A visitation will be one held hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery.
