SALISBURY - Ruth Wilson Laws died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born in Salisbury on May 23, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Royce B. and Belva Wilson. After graduating from Federalsburg High School in 1951, she moved to Salisbury and worked Downtown at Hess, Benjamin's and Ted Winkler's. On April 28, 1957, she married Richard M. Laws of Salisbury. They worked together in a family business, the 64th Street Market in Ocean City. They maintained Delight Farm, their home near Hebron, and could often be seen in the fall and winter riding, or foxhunting with the Wicomico Hunt, of which they were longtime members. In addition to her husband, who died in 2009, preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Carolyn W. Stoner of Seaford. She is survived by a son, Richard M. Laws Jr.; a daughter, Cathy L. Hyneman; five granddaughters; and three nephews. A funeral service was held Friday, April 3, 2015, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment followed in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
