SHARPTOWN - Ruth T. Tyndall died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. Born in Hebron, she was the daughter of the late Claude A. Twilley and Eliza Holloway Twilley. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant in the newborn nursery at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime member of Asbury Church in Sharptown, where she was active in helping with dinners at the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion E. "Ted" Tyndall; a daughter, Carol T. Lemay; three sisters, Nina T. Bennett, Grace T. Holloway and Martha F. Twilley and one brother, Marcus Twilley. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara T. Shockley, of Salisbury; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary T. Conner; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Sharptown, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sharptown Fireman's Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
